Metal box is the second album by PIL, released November 23, 1979

The album was a departure from PiL's 1978 debut 'First Issue' with the band moving into a more Avant Garde sound characterized by John Lyndon's cryptic vocals, propulsive dub-inspired rhythms led by bassist Jah Wobble, and an abrasive, "metallic" guitar sound developed by guitarist Keith Levine.

Metal Box is widely regarded as a landmark of post-punk. In 2003, the album was ranked number 469 on rolling Stone magazine's list of 'The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time’.

Its been in my posession since 1979, occasionally played with a high quality cartridge, and stored in a smoke free climate controlled environment. 
I am not a vinyl expert, but I’ll describe the peice as accurately as I can.

The disc: I see no signifiacant scratches or marks to the playing surface, there are dust particles. I have not cleaned it, I’ve left it alone, and I’ll leave that to professionals.
The sleeve: Include is the metal box case, with three white paper sleeve that separate the discs. I’ve not tried to clean the case, and it has all the finger print patina that all the originals that I’ve seen have.
