The first release in the series, LP on LP 01, contains a performance of "Ruby Waves" recorded on July 14, 2019, during a concert at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin. "Ruby Waves" first appeared on Ghosts of the Forest, a side project by Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio, and the 38-minute-plus version featured here is one of Phish's all-time longest jams. Made up of several distinct movements, the jam became known by fans as the "Alpine 'Ruby Waves'" and is the longest singular performance of the band's "3.0" era. The album was pressed on "ruby waves" colored vinyl. LP on LP 01 reached number 134 on the Billboard 200 and topped the magazine's Vinyl Albums chart.

The second release in the series, LP on LP 02, contains a performance of "Waves" recorded on May 26, 2011, at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York. The jam, which quotes elements of John Coltrane's A Love Supreme, was not performed in front of an audience; rather it was the tech rehearsal for the band's run at the New York venue. LP on LP 02 reached number 138 on the Billboard 200 and number two on the Vinyl Albums chart.

The third installment of the LP ON LP vinyl series is Tweezer > "Prince Caspian" from the second of three nights at Phish's Magnaball festival at Watkins Glen International, an auto racing track in the finger lakes region of New York. The Magnaball Tweezer" > "Prince Caspian closed set II with a thunderous 1-2 finish and a 35 minute ride for ages. LP ON LP 03 was recorded by Garry Brown and mixed from the multitrack masters by Vance Powell. Ferris Wheel edition first pressing.

The fourth volume in the collectible LP on LP vinyl series is Ghost from the second of two Radio City Music Hall shows in May 2000. These were the first full-length Phish shows in five months, falling at the end of a week of promotional appearances celebrating the release of the bands studio album Farmhouse. The Radio City Ghost stood out - bringing a dance party that lit up the room with millennial intensity.

The fifth installment in the LP on LP vinyl series showcases Twist and Stash from the opening night of two Nassau Coliseum shows (April 2, 1998). Nassau hosted the first of two, two-night engagements that comprised Phishs Island Tour - an impromptu live excursion on Long Island and Rhode Island that arose during The Story of the Ghost pre-production sessions in Vermont. On side A is the deep-space Island Twist from set II that explored intergalactic territory with a bass nod to Star Trek. Side Bs Stash from set I also went deep with a beautiful, sometimes dark jam that erupted into staccato melody and an ambient outro. The sixth volume in the LP on LP vinyl series highlights Simple and Blaze On from 8/6/21, the first show of a three-night stand at Ruoff Music Center in the Indianapolis suburbs, one of Phishs most-played venues with 23 shows between 1995 and 2016 before this 3-nighter, rescheduled from 2020. Side A features Simple a lush performance displaying the bands expanding and experimental sonic palette. Side B consists of an extended Blaze On that stretches to 27 minutes(the longest to date). These two cuts highlight modern-day peak Phish in a summer soiree at a favorite spot in what was once the cornfields of Indiana.
