Description

This is a fine original U.S. mono pressing copy of the second LP by Phil Ochs, released in 1965.  Early in his career, Ochs was a topical folk singer with a cutting sense of humor.  The latter quality is famously on exhibit in this LP's "Draft Dodger Rag," as well as in songs like "Here's to the State of Mississippi."  Ochs also sets Alfred Noyes' poem "The Highwayman" to music.  This copy has the original Elektra "guitar player" labels, and for those into the minutiae, a pressing date of "1-65" is etched in the side 1 runout grooves, making this a very early copy.  The laminated jacket has light corner creasing, and light staining and rippling (see photo) on the back cover slick -- EX(+).  The disc has some light scraping and scuffing, and plays with occasional light surface noise and a couple of stray light pops -- EX(+).

I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
