Andrew Lloyd Webber – The Phantom Of The Opera (Cast Musical Soundtrack 2 x LP) (1987)
Very good British 1st release.
Featuring Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford.
Gatefold sleeve contains the original large-format 24-page booklet libretto insert & printed inner record sleeves.
Condition VINYLS: VG/VG+. Superbly clean on visual inspection. A few faint hairline scuffs on all sides but a few more obvious marks on record 2. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great throughout. Light static at run-ins to sides 3 and 4 (more crackly on 1 and 2) but vocals and instrumentals sound fantastic. Some static in some quieter cues and fade-ins/fadeouts but play with no skipping, jumping or sticking. An enjoyable listen. OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: VG+. Colours are clear and unfaded on superb high-gloss gatefold. Corners have obvious wear/scuffing. Bottom edge has lightest of scuffs; top has more wear. Some nicks/light wear to aperture but spine in great shape with only light defects. Front is clean and unmarked with just a few creases/dents. Back has fewer dents. Inner gloss gatefold is undamaged and features a montage of photos. Disc ring outline visible on both outer covers. Overall a nice example. BOOKLET: VG. Superb gloss lyric booklet is clean and unmarked. No rips or stains. Lots of creasing all over, some folds and a few corner scuff marks but clean, complete and intact. INNER SLEEVES: EX. Original picture sleeves. Minor creasing and crinkling and disc outline but clean and intact. Fabulous examples.
