Peter Trunk was certainly one of the Germany’s best bass-players,in the 50ies and 60ies he was part of many A.Mangelsdorff- and K.Doldinger-recordings,he is the bass-player on the PHILIPS records “Trio Conception” and “D.Gojkovich-Swinging Macedonia”,he had his free-jazz projects,he plays on P.Thomas’ “Playgirl” and on R.Kovacs “Love That” etc. This was his first recording as a leader, recorded in spring of 1973,sadly it was also his last, because he died in a car-accident on New Year’s Eve in New York,1973.Musically it’s one of the best funky-kraut-fusion recordings ever, all musicians are in top-form:fat bass-lines throughout,S.Schwab’s indian tarang adds exotic sounds, tons of fender rhodes and sicker keyboard-sounds,sharp horns, dark atmospheres, killer grooves, breaks and more.Highly recommended!I also offer B.Bailey’s rare “Midnight in Europe”-LP from 1964,P.Trunk is the bass-player and he has many solo-parts!

Please Note My Conservative Grading System:
I use the following grades: M (mint, new sealed records only get this grade),
NM (totally flawless but opened record - many other dealers would call this "mint", I only differentiate when the record is not factory sealed),
EX (only very minor signs of use)
VG+ (a *high* grade from me, record may show minor signs of use, but is in overall great shape and should play free from defect),
VG (record may have some minor surface marks, but nothing that should detract from the listenability), VG- (may have a number of surface marks and may play with some noise, but still listenable and a decent play copy)
G (I rarely list anything with this grade unless it is highly rare and valued, may have many surface marks, but still playable without skipping)
I have over 20 years experience in record dealing and grade conservatively.
