'ITS THE VINYL COUNTDOWN'

Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   EX+ STRONG   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized EARLY MAD HATTER pressing - Stored from new this LP has seen below average CAREFUL plays, and remains in stunning play condition everywhere.

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is just some slight dulling a few light hairlines - overall it is in superb condition for an LP of this age.  We are seing fewer and fewer UK copies of this LP -IT IS BECOMING  A HARD ONE TO TRACK DOWN.

There are a few light spider lines around the centre hole, BUT no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever and it even has some surplus wax there..

There are some light whisp lines, a couple of the lightest of hairlines with one slight line running with the grooves on one track and thats it-  nothing else!

Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves....some light static in a few spots during play..but overall this is easily as clean a copy as we have heard.

A very rare record to see at all these days..

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

THE LABELS   MINT-  FLAT MATT LABELS

THE SLEEVE     EX+

Correct FLAT MATT UK issued sleeve  - with SQUARE  SPINE AND CARD INNER.

This is in SUPER condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean.

The edges are all super clean with just some light traces of rub on the top edge and a slight blister scissor repair by the spine , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition LIKE BRAND NEW!  This one is immaculate EVERYWHERE .

No  ringwear - some tiny light press at the top on the seams,  & no white rubbing anywhere.

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -hardly a hint of any feathering..

The spine is near perfect with no  dinks. Just the tiniest of tip rub on the open edge, and no spider lines over the edges!

No damage or wear.

WE CANNOT SAY MORE THAN THIS REALLY IS QUITE SUPERB.

THE INNER SLEEVE   MINT AS NEW

RARE  THIN CARD INNER with NO tapered ends or thumb groove.

NO DAMAGE AT ALL. The lightest of ring press only..stunning! The vinyl is  inside a poly protector!
