"PASSION" PETER GABRIEL 1989 U.S. Geffen original motion picture soundtrack double LP to "The Last Temptation Of Christ" w/custom inner sleeves. Promo Stereo GHS-24206. M-/M.
A great soundtrack to a controversial film by Martin Scorsese based on the book by Nikos Kazantzakis. The former lead singer of Genesis put together an ambitious, innovative soundtrack utilizing some of the best musicians from World Music & Jazz communities along with music from existing World Music sources. In fact, the experience of recording this soundtrack led to the formation of Peter Gabriel's Real World label which gave obscure World Music artists exposure to Western audiences. Musicians as diverse as Billy Cobham, David Sancious, Shankar, Baaba Maal, Jon Hassel, Youssou N'Dour & many others helped put this masterpiece together with Peter Gabriel. Usually found on CD, this soundtrack is very hard to find on LP- especially in this MINT condition.

Cover is bright & intact with no split seams but has corner "dings" on 3 corners- still rated near-MINT. Has the 3" x 2" clear title sticker (usually found on the shrink wrap) affixed to the front, upper left & the promo stamp w/gold lettering on the bottom, left corner. The records play perfectly with no scratches or scuffs. These MINT LPs were played only once. The custom inner sleeves have scenes from the film as well as track & musician listings . They are also rated in MINT condition.
