Description
Here we have a very rare and impossible to find nowadays LP by PROGRESSIVE / PSYCHEDELIC ROCK band PETE DELLO and FRIENDS released in 1971 on the NEPENTHA label (6437001).
Pete Dello was a member of the 1960's psych band HONEYBUS.
The Nepentha label was an offshoot of the VERTIGO label.
The cover was designed by artist ROGER DEAN and is actually inspired by one of the songs on the LP "Harry the Earwig".
The matrix numbers are : side one : 1Y//2 V 420 1 1, side two : 2Y//2 V 420 1 1.
Now before I state the condition I must point out the following : the previous owner has taped polythene around the outside of the gatefold sleeve using sellotape around the inside sleeve edges which has kept the sleeve in clean condition over the years. It is possible I suppose to remove it with great care but I wouldn't try it myself considering the album's rarity.
NOTE : Any glare in the pictures is from the camera flash.
Condition : gatefold sleeve EX- (it has slight rub marks under the polythene around the edges and two small marks on the bottom of the inside, not serious, see pic) , record - side one plays EX+, side two plays EX- (there is light crackle on track 6). The labels are very clean with a few light spindle marks and there are a couple of light paper scuff marks on the vinyl which don't affect play.
