Description
I am offering for sale an original Harvest Records UK pressing of Pete Brown and Piblokto - Thousands on a Raft. A rare and hard to find LP this copy plays beautifully and considering its age is in very good condition. I do not believe in listing LPs of this age as mint or even near mint, as unless its sealed or been on a shelf untouched for 40 years these gradings are not realistic. Cat #: SHVL 782
Matrix#: SHVL 782 (A-1G). SHVL 782 (B-2G).
Cover grading: Very Good. Cover lamination is bright and glossy. Colours bright, spine straight and unscuffed, base shows signs of wear/scuffing-no splits , top is excellent with little or no wear. Gatefold inner is excellent. Right hand edge of front cover is a bit rough-see photos- rear RH edge is very good. Harvest inner is bright and in excellent condition.
Vinyl-visual: Visually the vinyl grades as very good. The record has been played and displays some surface marks, most noticeably some odd staining/markings on both sides. Labels are bright and unmarked.
Vinyl-play grading: On playing, the vinyl reproduces a dynamic,full and rich sound. The bass is particularly fluid and up front in the mix as are the keyboards and overall reproduction is warm,live and smooth. As would be expected there is some mild surface noise but nothing that will hinder your enjoyment of this hard to find LP.
