Italian massive Underwater Funk Library OST grail by composer Stefano Liberati, realized for the film-documentary directed by Bruno Vailati from 1978. Essential, superb cult Score and for sure one of the best in the vintage Underwater music field. Original, desiderable and sought-after 1st pressing on the cult CAM label, part of a succesfull triptyque of full-lenght movies always directed by B.Vailati composed of UOMINI E SQUALI aka "SHARK AND MEN" (1976), with music by bassist Daniele Patucchi, and CARI MOSTRI DEL MARE (1977) by Carlo Savina. The whole Soundtrack is extraordinarily good, with loads of breezy Funk, dope Fender Rhodes, Funky Wah-Wah guitars, Jazz-Funk tones and Underwater Lounge. Dazzling, intoxicating music driving listerners into a pulsating, endlessly moving Jazz-Funk abyss. Maestro Stefano Liberati and his generous orchestra composed of some of the best session men of time, provides dope orchestrations of strings, brass, various percussion sweeps with amazing blue-tinged cinematic waves in a backwater of sublime groove, providing first class beats. Totally addictive record, rising to the challenge of marryng Funk, Swing and Jazz, in some passages reminiscent of Riz Ortolani's Cannibal Holocaust vibes. Killer groovy Funk beats with stunning jazzy Hip Hop breaks / moody Lounge and Underwater themes / loads of cool exotic vibes with Marimba Lounge cues / aggressive Poliziesco-styled Funk / sinister acquatic vibes. Totally essential album, beat-makers heaven and DJs / Library-Soundtrack junkies top-shelf!
