Description
This is a promo copy (stamped DEMONSTRATION Not For Sale) from 1978, a first pressing of the second Pere Ubu LP "Dub Housing." Remarkably it's even weirder than "The Modern Dance" even though that was on a tiny label (Blank Records, though soon to be picked up by Mercury) and this was brought out by Chrysalis, perhaps feeling that Blondie and Pere Ubu were playing to the same crowds and were therefore the same goldmine? Or that Public Image was doing wacky art music too and it seemed to be going well?
Wonderfully Chrysalis would stick with the band for another album after this one, and that's a good run for wonderful free art rock. Bless Pere Ubu forever.
This is NM vinyl, wonderful condition, and the DEMO stamped sleeve is NM-.
