PENDRAGON ?MARY SKEFFINGTON? 1981 PRIVATE PRESSING (ACE RECORDS PEN 811) FOLK VINYL LP

Sleeve Condition: Ex: Very little wear, free from writing, stickers or marking.

Record Condition: Looks fine, Ex+ with a slight edgewarp.  However, this is a private pressing, produced in tiny numbers on pretty ?iffy? vinyl resulting in a light background crackle.  It doesn?t affect the music which is clear and distortion free. 

Produced by the Ace Records, Herne Bay.  Fairly traditional line-up for the time; guitars (six and 12 string by the sound of it), bass squeezebox, vocals (male, good harmonies), some strings (could be keys) occasionally.

This is a fine album and should not be confused with the amateurism that often accompanied such private folk pressings.  There is a professional recording with a high standard of musicianship and song-writing, not to mention production and mixing.  

Musically, it falls somewhere between a sort of Magna Carta sound and The Albion Band, Larkrise to Candleford sort of thing.

Very rare, impossible to find now.
