Pearl Jam - Vitalogy
(Epic Records 477861 1 UK LP 1994)
This is a 1994 UK 1st pressing Vinyl LP in great overall condition! It has a heavyweight matte gatefold sleeve. The sleeve is slightly textured on the front & rear sleeve. The "Vitalogy" is embossed in gold on the front sleeve. The tracklisting is embossed in gold on the rear sleeve. The rear of the sleeve has a small company barcode/ catalogue number rectangular sticker. The spine text is also printed in gold embossed text too.
It comes with its original Picture Inner Sleeve. This is top opening & is printed on thick paper. It also comes complete with its original 8 page Lyric Booklet. This is printed on thick semi-buff paper. This is the very earliest UK pressing which comes with a "Limited Edition Print". This is printed on quality glossy photo paper. The art print states: "To mark the release of the LP format of Vitalogy - 24th Novermber 1994".
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has custom "Epic" labels. There are two sets of matrix numbers. They are machine etched in the dead wax. The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: 01-477861-20-1A-1 and PJ-INTL-A-1A
Side 1: 01-477861-20-1B-1 and PJ-INTL-B-1A
As an added bonus, there is also a giant fold-out pre-release record shop UK Promotional Poster. This uses the LP album cover. It advertises the release date of the LP (24th November 1994), It also advertises the formats that the LP is available on: LP, CD and Cassette. These are quite hard to come by nowadays.
There is also an extra UK record shop Pearl Jam pre-release Insert. This advertises the new single "Spin The Black Circle", and new LP "Vitalogy". It states: "Be the first to hear and own the eagerly anticipated new album by Pearl Jam".This insert goes on to state: "At this store from 10 pm on Wednesday 23rd November". There was also free food & drink available, as long as other Pearl Jam goodies to win. Also, it mentions that of you but the LP from this store you will receive a "Limited Art Print". This insert, & offer,was only issued to some independent UK record shops at the time. This insert is extremely rare.
This is a genuine 1994 UK 1st pressing vinyl LP. It is the very earliest UK pressing which includes a Limited Edition Art Print. It comes complete with the lyric booklet too. It also comes with the added pre-release Vitalogy UK poster, and the extremely rare pre-release UK independent record shop insert. This is as good a copy of the original UK vinyl LP release as you are likely to find. It really is a lovely item for any Pearl Jam fan. In great condition too! Don't miss out!

Gatefold Sleeve: There is some mild rubbing wear to the top corner tip at the spine. There is light or very minor rubbing wear to the other three corner tips. There is some light or very minor hairline rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on a few areas. This barely notices under a strong light. Otherwise, next to no wear. The spine face is in superb condition & shows no rubbing wear. There are a couple of tiny pin-point bits of rubbing wear on the rear spine edge. This barely notices under a strong light. There is no rubbing wear on the top & bottom edges. The inner gatefold is in perfect condition. Overall, the gatefold sleeve is in a strong EXCELLENT+ condition. This sleeve is extremely prone to wear. This is a superb copy. It is very close to being in Near Mint condition.
The 8 Page Booklet is in Excellent+ condition. It is totally complete with no loose pages. The staples have not rusted. There are a couple of minor handling creases only.
Vinyl: It doesn't look to have been played all that much. The vinyl still gleams like when it was first pressed. There is an extremely feint 3 cm, & 2.5 cm, hairline surface sleeve rub mark on Side 2. These are barely visible under a strong light. There is a tiny pin-head sized very mild surface rub mark at the very start of Side 2. This is on the play-in grooves. Otherwise, there are a few light, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which are barely visible under a strong light. Overall, the vinyl is in a strong EXCELLENT condition. The Labels are in Mint condition and show no spindle wear.
The original Picture Inner Sleeve is in Near Excellent condition. It shows light, mild or very mild ringwear & rippling on some areas. There are no seam splits.
I have play tested this LP in its entirety & it plays Excellent+ to Near Perfect overall, & Perfect in many places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in an extremely few quieter places. There are no clicks or pops. A top audio copy!
The Limited Edition Print is in Excellent+ condition & shows a couple of very minor handling creases.
The Pearl Jam UK Record Shop Pre-Release Insert is in Excellent+ condition & shoes a couple of very minor handling creases.
The Giant Fold-Out Pre-Release UK "Vitalogy" Poster is in Very Good+ condition. There is a small blu-tack stain in all four corner tips. This is obviously on the blank side. There is some light, very mild or very minor hairline rubbing wear on some of the fold lines on some areas. There is some light, very mild or very minor handling creases & rippling. There are no rips or tears.
I shall place the vinyl LP into a separate polythene lined plain inner sleeve. This will protect the original inner sleeve from any damage during the shipping process.

MINT Condition = This is as perfect a copy as you are likely to find. The cover will show no, or next to no, wear. The vinyl will be unplayed or very, very near unplayed.
NEAR MINT Condition = Nearly mint, just slightly under. There maybe some minor paper/ inner sleeve rubs that can barely be seen under strong light. This disc has been played only a few times & has been extremely well cared for. The cover is nearly perfect - Very minimal wear only.
EXCELLENT Condition = An excellent copy will show only mild, or minor, signs of use. There will be light, or very mild, sleeve rubs that can hardly be seen under strong light. There may be a very small & minor hairline mark in some instances. Play, in most cases, will be excellent or better. There may be some light, or very light, crackle in a few quieter places. The sleeve will show mild, or minor, rubbing wear & ringwear only.
NEAR EXCELLENT Condition = This has been played a few more times but it has been well cared for. There will be mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There may be a couple of minor, or light, hairline marks. Playback will be generally excellent or better. There may be some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. The cover will show mild rubbing wear, ringwear or creasing
Very Good Condition = Most records that have been quite well played, but reasonably well cared for, tend to fit into this category. This is probably the most varied of the gradings so I have elaborated below.
There may be mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There may be a few light hairline marks but nothing too bad. A quite well played but serviceable copy. Playback will be very agreeable overall. There will be light, mild or very mild crackle in some places. There may also be a few light clicks. A more thorough description will always be on the listing. The record will certainly not be trashed!
The cover will show more noticeable signs of storage or use. There will be mild to more moderate rubbing wear on some edges There could be fading, ringwear or a minor seam split. There could be some mild creasing or mild sticker tears.
Please note that I also use "+" or "-" symbols for this grading. A plus symbol is obviously at the top end of "Very Good" & is really not too far from being in "Near Excellent" condition. The minus symbol obviously means it is at the lower end. This will mean that it is near to being in "Good+" condition.

Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also gatefold sleeves, posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs.
Please note that there are now VAT import charges from the UK into all EU countries. Anything under 150 Euros will need an IOSS number. VAT is paid at point of sale. For any items over 150 Euros in value. There will be a customs charge too. These vary, I believe, from country to country. Please check your relevant postal service online for details. Please note that these charges are beyond my control and are the law for outside parcels going into the EU.
All records will be sent in high quality vinyl box/ mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7" Single. I use a cruciform box for larger orders (3-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).
I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...
