A great opportunity to bid for this scarce original unplayed copy of Modern Classics! A beautifully packaged collection of hits

from the Modfather himself, Paul Weller! I bought the album at the time of release and it has just been carefully stored ever since!

Sleeve: Thick laminated gatefold card showing Paul Weller, standing in a corn field, against a brilliant blue sky, wearing a red and

white Nehru jacket. The photo wraps round from front to back covers. The two inner faces show a head shot of him in the cornfield,

apparently standing on a path through the corn. The front cover has a 62mm square clear label stuck top-left, just under the album

title text. It reads:

The back cover has the barcode (7 31452 46091 2) top-right and catalogue numbers (ILPSD 8080/524 609-1

LC 0407 PY 287 BIEM/MCPS) underneath. A small Island logo is just under the numbers. The sixteen track

listing is in yellow text down the centre, with copyright details, etc., at the bottom. The cover is in superb

condition! There are no tears, repairs, bumps, surface marks or notations! Edges and corners are also nice

and sharp with no appreciable wear! Simply awesome!

Insert: Album-size thick card, single-sided, colour print of the outer cover photo, but showing more detail.

In perfect condition and ideal for framing!

Inner Sleeve - The Hits: Thick paper/thin card with a portrait of Paul Weller, track listing and song credits, plus

general thanks on one side, and a montage of colour/black-and-white photos of Paul and other musicians (including

Paul McCartney!) on the other! The sleeve is intact and unmarked!

Inner Sleeve - Live Classics: Thick paper/thin card which is die-cut on both sides. One side consists of concentric

coloured circles with images of five album covers along the bottom edge, the other shows a colour photo of PW and

musicians performing on stage. The sleeve is intact and unmarked! 

Matrix Numbers: Side One - MPO ILPS 8080 A1

Side Two - MPO ILPS 8080 B1 The letter M is shown inside a circle, followed by TWIG

Side Three - MPO ILPSD 8080 C1

Side Four - MPO ILPSD 8080 D1

Vinyl: Very clean and shiny with no major visible faults!

Labels: Side One seems to have been applied slightly off-centre and there is a bit of stray vinyl swarf

round the hole on this disc. All labels are intact and unmarked!

This is just one item from my own extensive and eclectic personal collection of music and related bits and pieces which I will be listing over the next few months, or so.
