I have a lot of quality records collected over many years. It became a bit of an obsession in the end hence I am thinning down. I have just a few nice LP's for sale at the moment but this is one of the most prized, a genuinely hyper rare promotional item from Paul McCartney. It is the rarest  record I own and is a 100% genuine example.
The Back to the egg Picture disc has been faked. This is not!
These are all key features of the genuine article exactly as the item for sale and are as follows.

The LP lines up in the cut cover so the picture is a near perfect image.
The spine of the cover has the title printed on it and most importantly the record number (PCTC 257) in a unique typeface with strange geometric symbols either side of the number.
The run out grooves are marked Nick W and Nick scratched on the A and B sides respectively.
The machine stamped (EMI ) numbers YEX 987-2 AND YEX 988-1 STAMPED IN THE RUN OUTS. Some copies are known to have 988-4 but not this one.
The poly lined inner has a blue strip in the top corner see pics.
The vinyl is a heavyweight not a flimsy pressing.

200 of these were pressed for the launch of the LP in June 1979 and 100 were given out to family and friends. It is well docunented that the other 100 were ready to be given out at the launch but somehow were left in a taxi by a staff member trusted to get them there. Red faces all round and the boxes were never to be recovered.
I purchased my item from a well known London record shop but cannot say whether it was from the first or second 100.
Needless to say it is amazingly rare and a true collectable.
The whole package is EX+ to near mint condition.
