Paul McCartney and Wings - 'Old Siam Sir / Spin It On'. R 6015

Paul McCartney and Wings 1979 UK 1st DEMO pressing of the 'Old Siam Sir / Spin It On' 7" single. Released on the 1st June 1979, and offered here fully complete and in WONDERFUL EXCELLENT+ condition.

Released on the custom (fried egg) 'EMI/MPL' label both labels state DEMO RECORD NOT FOR SALE. The vinyl is housed within the original brightly coloured die cut sleeve. The single was released one week before the album 'Back To The Egg' which it was promoting. This demo version also includes a rare MPL promotional postcard featuring a cover shot of the forthcoming album.

This performed very badly for Paul in the UK charts only reaching number 35. As such it has since become one of the rarer Paul releases to obtain. The reason could well be it was much more raw rock style song than many were used to. Take a listen to the track at the link below, Paul's vocals are amazing.
