Paul McCartney and Wings - 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish / Give Ireland Back To The Irish (Version)'. R 5936

Paul McCartney and Wings 1972 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO of the 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish / Give Ireland Back To The Irish (Version)' 7" single. Offered here in STUNNING MINT- condition and complete with the original and correct 'Wings' sleeve and comp slip. Released on the 25th February 1972, these initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.

Released on the custom 'Apple Records' label it was Paul's first and only political song. The song was banned by the BBC here in the UK shortly after release due to it's outright political opinions. The very fact it was banned for air play probably explains why this is in such remarkable condition. As such it charted very badly for Paul back in 1972 and is now a rare single to obtain. The a-side features FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE sticker and the release date of 25 FEB stamped. The comp slip is in near perfect condition with just one crease along the middle. A rare early demo single from Paul in stunning condition.

The vinyl is in MINT- condition.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT+/MINT- condition. DEMO STICKER AND DATE STAMP.

The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
