Paul and Linda McCartney - 'Ram'. PAS 10003
Paul and Linda McCartney 1971 CONTRACT / PARLOPHONE EXPORT? PRESSING of the 'Ram' album. Offered here in wonderful EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.
This unusual version is of particular interest due to the fact it is released on the Parlophone label and NOT the Apple label as you would expect to find. In years of collecting Beatles and related vinyl I have never come across this rare variation previously. It has been suggested that this originates from a number of different countries including: Israel, South East Asia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, The Caribbean or even part of Africa. Israel has been mentioned on more than one occasion so it is a distinct possibility that is was produced there or was destined for sale there.
In addition, this also appears to be a contract pressing by either Decca or CBS (it bears no hall marks of an EMI pressing that I have ever seen). Both sides feature the 'ridged labels' which are found on Decca releases (please see pictures below).
The labels are the Parlophone silver and black style with one 'EMI boxed' logo. Both sides feature 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' rim print, UK Apple catalog number 'PAS 10003' and UK matrix numbers. The sleeve is a fully laminated UK gatefold sleeve which again features the 'PAS 10003' catalog number, 'Printed and Made In England' text and 'An Apple Record, An EMI Recording' text. An unusual version of this early Paul McCartney album in great condition.

Side 1. YEX 837-1
Side 2. YEX 838-1
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
