Condition : laminated cover on both sides shows just a slight wear along the central part of the edge on the left side, NEAR MINT / vinyl has a few light scuffs which affect minimally listening with three, four minor clicks, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : simpatica e colorita parata di brani. "Entrecote Story" tema un pò fuori di testa caratterizzato da ventate sonore provocate dalle percussioni e da corte apparizioni di sassofono e vibrafono, l'atmosfera ondeggia fra il thriller ed il surreale. Ritmo vicace e a tratti sincopato con buon lavoro della batteria. "Le Gendarme à New York" invita al buonumore mentre le brevi "Panique à la Télé" e "Générique" contengono rispettivamente del jazz e un tema d'atmosfera. "Les Garçons Sont Gentils" è una bella canzone interpretata in Francese da Geneviève Grad con un accompagnamento dal ritmo swingeggiante, "La Marche des Gendarmes" conclude il disco con una gustosa marcia similmiltare con tanto di coretti maschili, fischio e buona ritmicità.  

Notes : nice and colourful parade of tracks. "Entrecote Story" is a freak theme  characterized by a sound surge of percussions and short passages by sax and vibraphone, the atmosphere wavers between a thriller and a surreal movie. Lively and sometimes syncopated rhythm with good work by drums. "Le Gendarme à New York" invites to the good humor while the short tracks "Panique à la Télé" and "Générique" contain, respectively, a jazz theme and an atmospheric theme. "Les Garçons Sont Gentils" is a beautiful song performed in French by Geneviève Grad with an accompanying swingy rhythm, "La Marche des Gendarmes" concludes the EP with an enjoyable with a kind of military march including male choruses, whistle and good rhythm.
