Description
PAUL LEVINSON: "Twice upon a rhyme" on the private HappySad label from 1971. Terrific but still fairly unknown LP of 1968-69 Buckley/Hardin-style folkrock with stoned psych vibe throughout, lots of warmth and personality and idiosynchratic vocals. Full rock setting with feedback guitars, organ and druggy sound effects, creating a flowing “Blonde on blonde”-like feel with many layers and unpredictable moves. Upbeat 1960s vibe, rather than the usual 1970s downers. Highpoints include weird, dreamy tracks such as "Forever Friday" and "The Lama Will Be Late This Year" (my personal anthem). This is a SEALED copy. Condition is M/M.
I have been collecting and dealing rare 1960s-70s records and items for 20 years. All items are graded M/M-/Ex/Vg++/Vg+/Vg/Vg-/G/F/P based on both aural and visual aspects. “M” corresponds to 10/10 on a 1-10 scale, while “P” equals 1/10. I rarely offer records below Vg+. This is a grading system used by many LP dealers, and I use it for other types of items as well. Grading for LPs/45s is disc/sleeve. Defects or unusual properties of the item will be mentioned specifically. Feel free to inquire during the auction.
I encourage use of eBay checkout, but will also send separate e-mails for verification. Shipping costs will be calculated after auction and added to winning bid. 45s and CDs never ship for more than $5 anywhere, LPs never ship for more than $12. If you want to have the parcel sent registered or insured you must specifically require this. No ripoff "additional" fees for handling/eBay/Paypal/whatever added - what you see is what you get. Payment accepted via Paypal (recommended) or cash (US dollar/GB pounds/Euro/SE Kronor) in letter (at your risk). No money orders or cheques.
Winner must get in touch within 3 days after auction’s end and submit payment within 10 days, or item will be withdrawn and negative eBay feedback left. Enforcing this is how I got my only negative comment, and I'm proud of it. Positive eBay feedback always left for smooth transactions. Good luck!
