PAUL BUTTERFIELD The Resurrection Of Pigboy Crabshaw LP

Australia ELEKTRA EKS-74015

When guitar slinger Mike Bloomfield left Butterfield's band after two classic and innovative albums in 1967 the dust barely had time to settle when the the line up was expanded to include a brilliant horn section. Not only that but Paul B unplugged his harmonica and played acousticly on top of it all. More innovation. Elvin Bishop also stepped forward to show off his guitar prowess and the game was lifted a whole lot of notches. This is not just one of the best blues albums of the 60s - but one of the best blues albums ever! The then 24 year old Butterfield stood up there proudly and to my mind held his own beside such greats as Junior Parker, Bobby Bland , BB King etc.

This great album features Paul Butterfield on harmonica & vocals, Elvin Bishop guitar, Mark Naftalin keyboards, Bugsy Maugh bass & vocal, Phil Wilson drums, Gene Dinwiddle tenor sax, Dave Sanbourne alto sax & Keith Johnston trumpet

Tracks are: One More Heartache, Driftin' and Driftin', I Pity The Fool, Born Under A Bad Sign, Run Out Of Time, Double Trouble, Drivin' Wheel, Droppin' Out, Tollin' Bells

The sleeve has the original price written in small lettering on the top left corner on the back and has minimal age discolouring

The record is in truly excellent condition
