The Day Trip sessions were recorded at Manhattan's Right Track studio in late October 2005, sequenced and released into a 10-song set in the winter of 2008. Reviews from the daily US press along the way have been a compendium of superlatives. The Philadelphia Inquirer declared, "Metheny shows why the trio is still relevant...There's nowhere to hide, and the easy fluency of Metheny's chops create a unique world. His energy and verve make it fun to follow where he goes." Reviewer: slippers-on This is a great deal. Jump on it you like Metheny. Not only three albums but 2 cd's as well. Now there is one other thing you should know....these vinyl pressings are of top notch audiophile quality recordings...if you have a good TT, speakers, and amp, you will instantly see what audiophile quality is all about.

Outstanding quality of the vinyl pressing. Great quality cover.

There have been so few vinyl LPs produced over the last 5 years that you should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.
