IN TIME Lp by PARTTIME. Original Dutch pressing on the PR label (198117), from 1981. Outstanding, soft soul transitions from the early '80s Amsterdam underground. An obscure private press item. Beautiful and addictive music by this group of friends and part-time session players (hence the name). Sounds as it looks, all lightly stoned and mellow with Hawaiian free soul Lp style artwork and spacey or lightly uptempo singer songwriter / AOR themes to match. Groovy and hazy moods with jazz / latin and Brazilian touches. Every track is superb from the sophisticated vocals and latin tinged TONIGHT / the jazzy scat of SONG WITHOUT WORDS / the drifting fender rhodes and tropical groove of SIMPLY / the acoustic-driven bossa IT HURTS to their A PARIS STRIP-TEASE anthem. Gently swinging horn section and flute solos by cult American session men living in Holland at the time. Desirable item with certain Japanese DJs and collectors. Trendy stuff, like the self-produced Palmeira session but with a more innocent pop cum blue eyed soul / indie jazz slant. Stylish production. Poetic and sentimental singing and harmony. Original lyrics sheet included. Great photos of the band members on the back sleeve with a sexy girl on congas. Recently repressed in Japan by Disques Dessinee too. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is close to shiny, M- condition overall with a few very light scuffs / hairlines from sleeve removal. Some old, faded residue marks from the pressing plant. All themes have some degree of surface noise but most probably the actual pressing. Taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of our soundclip. Original lyrics sheet intact. The laminated sleeve is in M- condition with minimal wear, if any. Rare Lp!!!
