PANIC BUTTON w JAYNE MANSFIELD 1962 - The gist of the plot : "Frank Pagano, mobster and head of Pagano Enterprises, needs to lose $500,000 within thirty days to avoid paying a large sum in income taxes. Deciding on an ingenious plot to produce a flop television pilot, he hires Philipe Fontaine (Maurice Chevalier), a fizzled star who can no longer find work. Philipe's screen-girl is to be played by Angela (Jayne Mansfield), a prostitute aspiring to be an actress--who also happens to be quite close to Frank." But somehow I doubt anyone bidding on this lp is interested in the plot.
It has achieved collectors status because of JAYNE MANSFIELDS incredibly sexy cover picture, and a smaller percentage seek out the GEORGE GARVARENTZ score, his first to be released in America.
This is the original LP, released on MUSICOR Records and the cover AND the vinyl record are in ALMOST MINT condition. (MM-2026). This title is very rare, again, because of Jayne's picture, and it is especially rare in such fine condition. (For those to whom it matters this is a U.S. pressing.
