PANAMA LIMITED JUG BAND same HARVEST LP First Press no EMI logo A1/B1 SHVL 753!
Original UK LP, with LAMINATED outer gatefold sleeve, released in 1969, on the HARVEST label.
Catalogue number: SHVL 753.
First pressing: no EMI logo on labels.
Matrix numbers read:
A-side: SHVL 753 A-1G.
B-side: SHVL 753 B-1G.
GOOD/VERY GOOD CONDITION (*Plays mostly EXCELLENT)
Overall the sleeve is reasonably clean and in GOOD condition, but displays wear/faults. Sleeve is slightly wavy in appearance; having been lightly water damaged at one time (no sleeve stain marks are evident). Sleeve show signs of record sleeve ring wear with some light dulling to the laminated surface where raised in places. There is a horizontal 9cms long sleeve tear on the back approx 7cms from the top left hand corner, running from the record insert edge into the sleeve and a small bottom edge sleeve split approx 5cms from the bottom corner. Back sleeve laminate creasing can be seen under the tear where the sleeve has been raised owing to heavy handling. Some light laminate edge wear is evident on the spine edge, with corners rubbed and light discolouring on/along the bottom half, all spine print is clearly visible. Middle gatefold sleeve as already mentioned is slightly wavy however the appearance in VERY GOOD+.
Original inner protective sleeve has been replaced at one time.
Both labels are EXCELLENT displaying a clean appearance with no visible wear or any damage, with some small light spindle hole marks showing on both sides.
Playing surfaces and matrix areas are in VERY GOOD condition, with some light small/medium sized visible surface marks showing on both sides, in addition there are some small/tiny barely visible ultra light fine line/hairline surface scuffs, which only show up when angled and viewed closely under a strong bright light. Surface marks are all light, there is nothing heavy or that you can feel, they are very lightly scattered and definitely not excessive in quantity with nothing that adversely affect the sound (*). Record is graded by appearance and not sound.
*The record plays mostly EXCELLENT on both sides, the sound emits some low level background surface noise and the odd background click, however this is occasional and not consistent throughout. (*) Track 7 on the B-side has some light background passing clicks on the first part on the track when played.
