Description
THE BACH SOCIETY This is a RARE set of Bach's Unaccompanied Cello Suites 2 in D Minor and 3 in C Major by Pau (Pablo) Casals. These were produced in England as HMV D.B. 8414-8419 with six 12" records. They are visually graded as NM to NM- and I suspect they were seldom played, as all are extremely nice with minimal traces of use, no scratches and each has a great gloss. As I am not a professional grader, I encourage you to study each photo in great detail using the "enlargement" feature. Please note the great gloss, in that all record images have a reflection, of my head in the shape of an inverted U at the 6 to 7 o'clock position (particularly notable on the fifth image...ok to laugh). Side A of each record has cataloging information applied by the original owner from whom I obtained these.
PLEASE NOTE: The photo of the reverse side of record #6 was not included, as we are limited to 12 photos. Rest assured, it's condition is well represented by the quality seen in the other photos.
The album is a medium shade of green, no lettering, with a black binding. Although I suspect that this is the original album, my research could NOT confirm that it is.
