RYTHMIQUES - FRENCH LIBRARY Lp by PIERRE-ALAIN DAHAN & MAT CAMISON. Original French pressing on TELE MUSIC label (TM 3037) from 1973. Desirable, Library "break-beats" from France featuring legendary session drummer, Pierre Alain Dahan. A maverick set of mood music from psychedelic funk and rock to child-like exotica and cinematic themes but the overall emphasis is on kickass drums and basslines ;) Our soundclip opens with the killer minimalistic funk of RYTHMIQUES N. 10 (with B-boy riddim and bassline) / its even funkier reprise RYTHMIQUES N. 11 / followed by the Headhunters style jazz funk of RYTHMIQUES N. 8 with heavy hip hop and stoned fender rhodes. Other themes we recorded include the delirious clavinet funk and drum breaks of RYTHMIQUES N. 7 / the mechanical and clunky "music box" ambience of SUPER CARROUSEL and the psych rock fuzz distortions of AUTO RYTHMIQUES with its obsessive wah wah FX and motorik rhythms. Great for DJs. Mellow twilight, fender rhodes and tropical percussion on OCEAN HORIZON. The RYTHMIQUES N. 8 theme was comped on The Mighty Mellow  -The Sequel for the Italian Hitland label and also on Abstractions Vol. 1 by Swerve Recordings. The beautiful, Erik Satie-esque PIANO + PIANO / captivating SUPER CARROUSEL and the horror film psychedelic strings and bass cello of SUSPENSE N.1 were all comped by Jonny Trunk for The Music Library : Graphic Art And Sound book CD. Striking Telemusic artwork sleeve with BBC Radiophonic Workshop inspired design. Rare Library Lp!!! Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition overall with hairlines / faint scuffs and a few pressing marks. Light surface noises. Some soft pops / soft ticks (as you can hear on our soundclip). Distribution ink stamp to label. The half laminated card sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light wear (mostly down the right hand open side which has a couple of small sections of laminate lifting with a few tiny chips / tears). Some light corner wear in places. Some light ring wear and ring dirt marks from storage. A few other general crease lines and dirt spots from storage. Mini notation in pen beside a few titles of the tracklisting (back sleeve) and a distribution ink stamp to bottom of back sleeve. Sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Library Lp!!!
