Original, very early 1980s Paul McCartney promotional-only, two-LP interview set entitled, "The McCartney Interview." This is on the Columbia label A2S-821 (white label promo!!). This was recorded by and issued in conjunction with Musician magazine. One record contains the complete/un-banded interview and one record contains banded excerpts of the interview.  Cover Photography By – Linda McCartney.

The McCartney Interview was a limited edition vinyl release, published in 1980 on the Parlophone label in the UK/ Europe and on Columbia Records in North America.

Per Seller’s research, this special white label promo copy originally came with a letter from Columbia Records and a copy of Musician: Player & Listener Magazine (August 1980), which was the source of the interview.

The complete interview is on Record 1, and an edited banded for airplay version is on Record 2.  The 1st Catalog # A2S-821 appears on the Spine and appears on Each LP. The 2nd Catalog #AS-822 is a variation on Record 1, and the 3rd catalog # AS-823 appears on Record 2.

This Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-80's and is the Original Owner of this album.  The vinyl discs have never been played.  They were visually inspected and appear to be in Near Mint condition.  The cover has "Demonstration-Not for Sale" printed on the upper right rear corner.  There is a crease in the lower right corner, and minor shelf wear, so it is rated as VG+ condition. The two vinyl records are in their original white paper sleeves.  "Demonstration-Not for Sale" is printed on all labels.  The photos may have reflections of the camera, etc.

Around 1974-75, I acquired a full set of Beatles albums as a gift from Capitol Records.  I also acquired other Beatles albums as they were released, including solo releases after the Beatles broke up.  Most of these records are promo copies in excellent condition that have never (or seldom) been played.  All have their original covers/sleeves/inserts, etc.  My collection of 40 Beatles albums are now being sold individually on Ebay.

I have recently begun to sell my 2500+ record collection on Ebay, so please check back occasionally to see my new listings.  My collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983.  Most of my vinyl records have never been played, and many have their original shrink wrap.   They are from the 1973-1985 era.
