Description
An outstanding original pressing. The sound is remarkable. I noticed some minor surface noise at the start of the first track of side A, and only until the drums come in - after that, I didn't detect any noise elsewhere on the album in the sections I listened to, even in the quiet parts. All four sides sound absolutely stunning and, to my mind, like new.
The sleeve is beautiful and bright with only the most minor signs of wear. Inner sleeves are fine, with a couple of stains. Will be posted in strong, secure packaging.
A note about grading I believe that the grading system has been rendered worthless by people listing any old rubbish as VG+ or EX, even records that are fit for the bin. As such, although eBay compels me to put in a grade, I also describe the condition to the best of my ability. I am not a vinyl expert, but I have a decent turntable with quality stylus and I will provide an honest assessment of each record to the best of my ability. I would rather undersell a record than oversell it.
I listen to several minutes of both sides of each record. I listen to part of the first track, and then random later points (focusing on areas where any damage may be present, to check for skips or pops etc). I make notes on audio quality which inform my grading information.
All records are cleaned to one degree or another (usually with an alcohol-based cleaner and then rinsed with deionised water), but may need a gentle clean with a suitable cloth before playing, because I don't work in a NASA-style clean room. Some records may benefit from further cleaning.
