Description
Here we have a very early Ottoman Turkish record, on a very rare label. I obtained this record from the family of a Sephardic Jewish immigrant who came to America from Istanbul in 1912. He brought this record with him. It is not in very good condition. It has many scuffs and scratches. I played both sides on my Victrola X with a new steel needle. It plays well and actually the songs are pretty enjoyable, but there is significant surface noise. Canto Hissan Effendi had a very good voice. For collectors of Ottoman Turkish music, this is a record to have. This record will be shipped in a special re-useable cardboard box. Accordingly, the shipping cost is $9.75. USA.
