Description
Otis Spann, Is The Blues LP, Candid Records 9001, 1961 Stereo pressing. VERY GOOD cover and VERY GOOD+ or better vinyl LP.
Up for auction is a 1961 pressing of Otis Spann. The LP is titled Otis Spann Is The Blues and is on the Candid Records 9001. This is the first LP released on Candid Records label and is in True Stereo. Included with Otis Spann is Robert Lockwood Jr.

The cover is graded VERY GOOD or better and the vinyl LP is graded MINT MINUS.
Visually vinyl looks near brand new. The ever slightest amount of paper scuffs is noted. A few light scratches which do not effect play or sound. Has orange, yellow and red boxed center label with black printing. Center label looks near brand new. Center hole is sharp-cornered and looks perfect. Great shine, sheen and high gloss on vinyl. Looks near MINT MINUS condition on vinyl LP and center label.
Play graded vinyl. Plays loud, crisp, clear and clean. The ever slightest ticks and a few pops are heard at the start of both sides before the music starts. An occasional tick or surface pop can be heard when the LP is played, yet is nothing really noticeable. Play graded VERY GOOD+ or better. Could be graded MINT MINUS.
Cover is visually graded as follows. Some to slight age wear on front and back cover. Textured front has several wear spots or breaks near bottom on the bottom of cover. The slightest of ring wear is noted near top where it states “STEREO”. Has four in splut on spine near top. Two inch split near bottom on spine. Slight to some wear on seams. Slightly rounded corners. Back cover has slight ageing and is slightly yellowing. Cover is conservatively graded VERY GOOD or better condition due to spine and seam condition. A slightly worn cover and a VERY GOOD+ or better vinyl LP. Makes for a great listening experience.
