Historic Performances Recorded At The Monterey International Pop Festival 

(Recorded Live on June 16, 17 & 18 1967)

  • This is a First Pressing of a Reprise Records White Label Promotional copy of the original 1970 release.
  • This copy has never been played.
  • These are the performances that prompted Warner/Reprise Chairman Mo Ostin and Atlantic Chairman Ahmet Ertegun to sign Jimi to Reprise and Otis to an Atlantic/Volt Records distribution deal. Both execs attended the festival after tremendous anticipation of these two up-and-coming artists. The rest is history. Legend has it that Mo got dosed with LSD at the festival..
  • The cover has 2 tight seams with a 2" split on the bottom seam.The cover surfaces are NM and show only slight storage wear.
  • This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from the Warne/Reprise sales rep in his record store in 1970. It has been in storage for 55 years.
