Is this the best vocal ever..? It's gotta be pretty close....
A very 1st Mono press on UK red and plum Atlantic - 1964 and in the UK!!!!. i think I'm correct in saying Otis was pretty well know by this point in time [USA]....but in the UK he was yet to chart a single! Matrix A1/B1.And if you want real perfection in the audio [from Otis] - you're gonna to need to look long and hard at the copy. For audio - superb. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover with pinched spine. The original inner's there too. So, it's 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) Light use with great lustre. An, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback from start to finish. A couple of very slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Super quiet intros and inbetweens. A really clean player. The low brass sounds fantastic and the low-key piano tinkering so so detailed. You'd struggle to equal it. Expect nothing more than a few minor crackles briefly in 'you Send Me'. If you need the Redding vocal in perfect working order...you could do a heck of a lot worse! The Trumpet in Louie Louie is, like, scarily good! It has in the room presence...
Cover (Ex-) Front looks great without creasing. The rear has escaped the usual ageing - absolutely superb. Very little edge wear and the openings still very nice and firm. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Total stunner.
Inner (Vg+) Nice.
