Why did the systems featuring record players at the recent-ish Munich high end audio show sound so good?

• Maybe because in that part of the world beer comes only in one litre vessels. 
• Maybe thick saucy white asparagus and dumplings put listeners in a good mood.
• Maybe travelling at 300 km/h in a smooth electric train while eating the asparagus and drinking the beer on the way to the show put you in an even better mood.
• Maybe it was that many discerning turntable manufacturers at the show fitted Ortofon tonearms as standard equipment.

Beer, dumplings or swift trains aside, it seems to have done the trick. This is a beautiful piece of equipment that looks as tasty as it sounds - with an SME-on-acid kind of pre-modern aesthetic. Anyway it gave me the chance to hear the arm with a variety of 'tables and carts. It works. Search the web for the various reviews. Ortofon's RS-212D 9 inch dynamic-balance tonearm features high quality materials and construction for precise sound reproduction. RS series tonearms can be used for a wide array of cartridges. Ortofon's heavier SPU cartridges require an additional counterweight which is available from us or other vendors.

The Ortofon RS-212D 9 inch D series tonearm takes analog sound reproduction to a higher level with highly configurable VTF options and a dynamic balance system for increased stability when tracking warps and other anomalies. D-series tonearms can be used for a wide array of cartridges. Easy adjust Anti-skate control included o course.

Payment and shipping

We will ship this anywhere in the world outside Australia by ECI (trackable express courier international) only. A flat fee of $AUD60.00 applies for international ECI shipments. Australian shipments will despatched by registered post for $AUD15.00. No alternative shipping methods or prices will be considered. Get your Paypal payment in as soon as the auction ends and your item will be despatched the same day. The faster you pay, the faster you receive your item. If we are shipping your item, you can be assured that it will be packed correctly – we have been packing and shipping speakers, speaker parts and delicate electronic equipment for twenty one years.  It’s worth noting that items from other sellers can and do tend to get lost or go missing – and invariably the cause is due to inadequate or incomplete addressing by the sender. We can boast a nearly unblemished record over the years as we attend to such important details with diligence. Should anything go wrong with your order or shipping we will of course do all that is practical and reasonable to correct it. Please note that the couriers require a signature and a business address for delivery is often the best option if available.
