Vinyl: Looks VG+ but plays with a little surface noise (not constant, not enough to overpower the music at all!), so VG grade (hear clip).
Jacket: VG (some parks, pen, age, some small portion of split seam top and bottom near jacket opening BUT spine is completely intact)

Nationalized Panart Label, pressed after the Cuban Revolution in Cuba. Extremely rare collector’s item. For a 60 year old album, the vinyl is in great shape. The surfaces, which have been professionally cleaned, are visually graded at VG+/EX. However a conservative play grade would take it down a notch in places to a VG, so actual grade over all is VG to VG+. There is some very low surface noise - it is not constant, but it is audible nonetheless. In other words you can hear some “pops & crackles” occasionally but it does not overpower the music. The vinyl pressing is heavyweight and the center hole is nice and tight so there is no distortion - unlike some nationalized pressings. Jacket cover has marks, pen, age spots, crumbling, and other signs of wear but over all it’s not so bad. Probably conservatively a VG. Back cover shows age related effects as well but not as bad as front (see photos). Labels look great. Note the design differences between the 1959 edition made in Cuba before the Revoultion (blue or black labels, with "thumbnail" mini album cover catalog on back) versus this one made after the Revolution (no little albums on back, label is red on white and says “Panart (Nacionalizada)”). This is your chance to own apiece of Cuban history! Hard to find these Cuban editions in great shape nowadays.

RITMO TROPICAL is a classic charanga album by Neno González and his charanga orchestra and it includes some of the best tunes of the era: La almendrita y el pinon, La cachimba de San Juan, Cara sucia, El diablo tun tun, Loma de Belen, and a salsa “standard" Llego el dulcerito. Beautiful roots Cuban music in a hard-to-find edition with the vinyl in great shape. Influenced a whole generation of Latin music. This is "Salsa 101" folks!
