"OPENING THE CARAVAN OF DREAMS"

CARAVAN OF DREAMS RECORDS CDP85001

You hold in your hands a copy of the first pressing run of the first album released by Caravan of Dreams Records.

This album presents the work of a composer who is recognized as one of the all-time great innovators on alto saxophone, violin, and trumpet, as he leads his band, Prime Time, in a live set recorded during the grand opening of the Caravan of Dreams, the new performing arts complex in his home town, Fort Worth, Texas.

This grand opening also included the world premiere of the complete version of Coleman's symphony "Skies of America" and the world premiere of Coleman's string quartet "Prime Time Design/Time Design" written in honor of future-thinker Buckminster Fuller.

We hope you'll enjoy this music as much as the audience who participated in creating the energy you hear on this record.
