Original Mono Analog - THE DOORS DEBUT, Light My Fire, Break On Through VG+

Offered is a great rarity in the Psychedelic Rock / Blues Rock genre - The Self-Titled 1st Release of The Doors, considered one of the Greatest Debut Albums in the History Of Recorded Music.

Here are some additional particulars about the issue we are offering here:

1)  This Cover is considered the early "misprint issue". It has a stereo jacket with the white "MONO" sticker at the top of the front cover.

2)  From our Photo Gallery, you can see that a name has been written (in blue) across the MONO sticker. We believe the name is JA Bryant.

3)  There is no mention of stereo on the record labels, and both labels have the EKL (mono) catalog number. We assume it is an early mono recording, however some internet information suggests that one side may be mono and the other in stereo.

4)  We have listed the full deadwax matrixes at the bottom of this listing. They carry both the Customatrix identifier on Side A (O), and the Abbey Pressing (AB) identifier on both Side A & B.

5)  There is an additional identifier in both Side A & B matrixes that is etched and tiny, and borderline legible. We think it may be the initials of the engineer for this issue, Bruce Botnick. Of this we are not certain.


We grade the LP condition as Very Good +, and the Cover as Excellent :

THE VINYL : VERY GOOD +

VG+ :  Moderate playtime is evident, with numerous light and shallow marks along both of the vinyl surfaces. Light, periodic background noise may occur as the needle passes over some of these marks.
 
Bright, undamaged, Black and Tan Big White E Elektra Records labels. 

There are no deep marks, and all tracks play through with no skipping or sticking. 



THE COVER : EXCELLENT

EX :  Please see the photos in our Gallery / well-stored with some scuffing and ringwear / bright colors / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact / a name is written on the white MONO sticker / no other writing, paper loss, paper tears, dirt, or stains.

Included is the original Elektra Records paper inner sleeve (please see the photos in our gallery).


We have placed the record and the cover into separate, protective plastic sleeves.
