Description
Orig. late 80's/early 90's JAMAICAN SOUND SYSTEM DUBPLATE (10") featuring Sound-Clash 'Specials' from Rappa Robert & Prince Junior out of King Jammy's for 'SUPER J' Sound-System. (KING JAMMY'S DUB)
Track 1 - Run Come Follow We - Rappa Robert - With intro which plays at G/G- and jumps due to acetate being damaged to start. There is a re-wind to start. Rappa Robert's 'special' plays better at G+/VG- & doesn't jump or stick. It plays better at VG- with distilled water on surface whilst playing.( 'Super J' sound- name called).
Track 2 - Worries In The Dance - Prince Junior - With killer intro. This 'Special' re-works Frankie Paul's 'Worries In The Dance' tune & name checks STONE LOVE, INNER CITY, GEMINI & METROMEDIA Sound-Systems. Plays VG- & better with distilled water sprayed on surface whilst playing. Does not stick or jump. ( 'Super J' sound-name called).
THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS DUBPLATE IS BLANK.
EXCLUSIVE Dubplate business from late 80's/early 90's from 'Super J The Bad-Boy Sound' out of Barbican.
Please see below for my full grading system.
GRADING:
MINT = unplayed ex-shop stock.
EX = almost mint except for possible light usage,or marking on label.No marks on vinyl.
VG = minimal marks,no reduction in sound quality at all.
VG- =very clean sound quality,but marks to vinyl and possible light scratches.(this is by far the most common condition of my records and proves wholly satisfactory to customers).
G+/VG- = more than acceptable playing condition,label likely to be worn or marked.
G+ = noisy-but music still appreciable.
G/G- = rough condition,noisy,could be scratched or have hiss but of great interest for historical content.
OTHER ABBREVIATIONS USED;
BLANK = original first pressing of tune given to sound system operators to play before the record was given a label and made available in the shops for the general public.
LD = label damage.
CD = Cover Damage(applicable to LP’s).
Please note: most records i sell are ex sound system copies and often have sound man markings on the labels.
