UNNATURAL AXE - They Saved Hitlers Brain
Here is a RARE Original 1978 copy the BOSTON PUNK CLASSIC by THE UNNATURAL AXE, "THEY SAVED HITLERS BRAIN". There were ONLY 500 Copies of this 45 ever pressed.
This band was one of my favorites along with DMZ, The Lyres, The Mighty Ions, the Girls;.. ok, so it’s a long list.
Band member are:
Rich Parsons - Vocals
Tom White - Guitar, (a.k.a. Tommy White Trash, which he is NOT).
Frank Dehler - Bass

I had almost forgotten just how much I love this 45 but listening it again is Pure Joy.
Some of the lyrics for "They Saved Hitlers Brain”, a song inspired by the ridiculous 1963 Sci-Fi flick, “They Saved Hitler’s Brain”, are,..
"He's ridin' around in the back of a staff car, his body's gone but his head's in a glass jar; threat on his life and they had to move quick, they removed this head but not his pr*ck".
"Life giving fluids keep his brain alive; he shouts to the driver and he says, "Let's Go!". He doesn't comb his hair but he looks real neat, he's ruling the world from the back seat."
Could it get any better than that?
Watching these guys play live was a Total blast; they and The Mighty Ions would sometimes set up wraslin' rinks on stage at Cantone's or The Rat to play in. It was just too Funny!
The band played at all of the finest Boston Punk Rock establishments as well as NYC venues; unfortunately the band folded after only two years.
I would have gotten this 45 when it came out originally and I think the vinyl is in great shape considering the 28 years I’ve had it and moved from place to place with it.
The cover is a kind of beat and is stained with small tears as shown in the picture.
I have gone to a lot of trouble to list these records in a way that does them justice and have added sound clips to some my listings for your amusement and to help you decide the grade of the records.

Here is a link to a short mp3 file of the actual 45 that is listed here so that you can judge the sound quality for yourself. If I absolutely had to give a grade to the vinyl I'd say maybe VG or Vg+?, but of course it's the actual sound that's important here, right? There is a pop on "They Saved Hitlers Brain" that, on close inspection, appears to be a small blemish in the pressing. The close up picture shows, (in addition to dust), that vinyl is in pretty good shape. (I'll let you clean off the dust.)There are a couple of other faint pops that may only be that dust. The vinyl is in Great shape, it does Not skip.
Naturally all of you analog fanatics know that mp3 files do not do justice to the vinyl they are recorded from. On my pc the sound files are loud enough, possibly due to a better than average sound card and good speakers. If anyone knows a better way for me to add these sound files please feel free to advise me. I do have 45 mailers to ship this in.
