Description
This is a very heavy thick vinyl deep groove U.S. lp on maroon and silver BETHLEHEM Label #6051, title is: The Great ZOOT SIMS, " Down Home", it is the only title on the Bethlehem label by Zoot with his players, DAVE MCKENNA piano, GEORGE TUCKER bass, DANNIE RICHMOND drums, cover is thick cardboard with very extensive IRA GITLER notes on back. spine is strong with minor wear, seams have some wear, top seam has split right corner. bottom seam has very small split right corner. Front has light wear, back has very little wear and browning, also has tiny store sticker bottom right corner. (see close up pics) Cover has no bent or pushed in corners, stains, cut corners, punch holes, fading, etc. Vinyl has a deep gloss shine, no groove wear, scratches, defects, warps, stains, etc. Only under bright light and close inspection could I see just 2 or 3 small light surface scuffs that do not affect play, Etched in trail off is BCP- 12-6051 - A- X1, / B1. I played an excerpt from each tune, they sounded clean and clear with no distortion, skips or background noise. Labels are near pristine, I only noticed 1 faint spindle trail on each side, no spindle marks, spindle hole wear, stickers, writing, fading, wear, etc. a more beautiful copy of this rare original cannot be found. Glad I could make it available in this CONDITION: Cover VG + / Lp NM - .
