Here is a pair of VERY RARE original 1964 Beatles record albums from my collection offered up for sale: An AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL 1964 Vee Jay MONO Lp album "The Beatles and Frank Ifield". PLUS The Beatles "American Tour w/ Ed Rudy" on Radio Pulsebeat Tour label! Both were released at the very outset of Beatlemania in early 1964!
First, "The Beatles & Frank Ifield" on Vee Jay records VJLP- 1085. This is an original AUTHENTIC first MONO pressing with the black labels. lots of fakes or counterfeits out there! (if the spine does not have the printed edge then it's a FAKE! This is the real deal! The ORIGINAL 1964 mono VJ pressing released February 26th 1964. Record value of this rarity is up to $250 in Perry Cox's official price guide!
The record still has a nice gloss and the sound quality is very good overall. There are a number of light marks on both sides, most of the tracks play through without issue but there are a few spots where it jumps forward slightly 9 two happen in the trail out of one song) . It is still an enjoyable listen despite the flaws. Record rates Good+. Frank Ifield does a nice job on his tracks including Hank William's Lovesick Blues" , "Unchained Melody", "The Wayward Wind", "I remember you" and more! The jacket is very nice overall. The rear cover is clean & white. The bottom seam is split back halfway. The other two seams are worn but still holding together. The is a bump or indentation near top of record opening seen on front cover. No signatures or writing! Cover grades VG overall.
Also included: The Beatles "American Tour with Ed Rudy #2" released June 9th 1964. Released on Radio Pulsebeat News. This is the first ever interview record of the Beatles to my knowledge and captures the mayhem of the Beatles first American tour! The vinyl is stunning and rates EX, is super glossy and clean, outstanding vinyl! Record has been play tested. Plays with excellent bright deep sound, very quiet play, no skips or jumps or annoying surface noise, a very enjoyable listen! The labels are excellent without spindle wear, Awesome 59 year old Beatles collectable! The cover rates VG-, NO signatures or writing on front OR back cover! Looks to be a bit of red paint at edges. (see photo) Small damage to rear slick at record opening. Two seams neatly repaired with clear tape. Clean and bright back cover, (see photos) Book value is around $100. (see all photos) This is an well preserved 59 year old original and AUTHENTIC 1964 pressing!
