Oratorium - s/t (Private Pressing ASS 8-5092, Germany 1972)
One of the best hidden treasures of german early 1970s Psych Krautrock private pressings! The only LP from this young 6-piece group (3 brothers and friends) from Hof (Bavaria), 9 great songs full of haunting melodies, swirling, wailing Farfisa organ, guitars, sparkling piano, bass and drums, and - in opposite to most other private Krautrock LPs - superb vocals. The dark echo-ey / reverb-laden sound sometimes reminds me of Mary Butterworth and gives this LP this particular spine-chilling, goosepimples-producing feeling of those magnificent 1960s Psych-Garage ballads. In very short time this item has become an absolute fave of mine and I´m sure the few who will ever have the chance to listen to this record will agree.
Only few were pressed (probably 300 copies only!) almost 35 years ago and this one is in pristine MINT condition, even the superbly fragile cover (in fact only a thin folded paper in PE outer sleeve) is absolutely flawless. A serious rarity and an absolute must for any decent Krautrock collection - don´t miss it!!!

All items are send in solid cardboard packing, I don´t use flimsy wrappers or aircraft pockets. Vinyl (protected by inner sleeve) will be removed from jacket to prevent seam splits.

Grading: All items are graded visually (under strong light source) and acoustically (at least spot checked). I´ll only grade a record (or cover)as MINT if it is visually immaculate and unplayed (or if I´m sure that it was only played 2 or 3 times).
