Description
This is part of a larger auction of original, 1950's-era blues, doo-wop & R&B 45's. For this round, the focus is on smaller labels like Ace, Baton, Ember, Aladdin and more. There are several nice rarities and a handful of bonus listings of records on *really* small labels.

Release: Billy Bland – Chicken In Basket / The Fat Man
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1956
Notes: Yellow label 1st pressing. First of several singles, including a couple of minor hits, releases by Bland before he quit the music industry in 1963. It's an early label omitting the word "The" from the title. A-side let's say *barrows* a bit from Bo Diddley, but is a good track. B-side is another uptempo jump blues type track.
Vinyl Condition: Vinyl Condition: VG, vinyl is overall nice, but does have a handful of surface scuffs. Nothing deep/feelable. It has been play tested and plays great with no pops or skips, just some very brief/light crackle. Sound is fantastic. Labels are are dirty/discolored to some degree, not terrible, but not top grade either. No writing, tears or stickers.
