Description
This is a very rare and highly sought after, pair of Official Serato White Control Vinyl pressed in 2009. Serato pressed a very limited number of white control vinyl exclusively for their premier DJs. Highly sought after, some of these made their way into the secondary market and are incredibly valuable. With their rarity and high value, some people started bootlegging and selling unofficial white control vinyl. Some of the bootlegs were decent, yet others had issues with the control tone. Trust me, you don’t want to have any issues with your control tone when you’re in the middle of a set! These are not bootlegs. This is an actual pair of Official Serato White Control Vinyl that were released to the public in very limited production.
During a live performance, DJs would need to switch from the previous DJ’s computer to their computer. To do this, DJs would bring an actual music record to mix into and while that song was playing, they would switch computers. This edition of Official Serato White Control Vinyl aimed to assist this and includes two songs on side A and the Serato Control Tone on side B. Called the Tittsworth Edition, released by Plant Music and Serato in 2009, Side A features ‘Here He Comes’ Feat. Nina Sky & Pitbull (AC Slater Remix) and ‘WTF’ Feat. Kid Sister & Phase Rock (Nadastrom on Drugs Remix / Stretch Armstrong Edit). Side B features the Official Serato Control Tone.
I was a professional DJ from 1994 to 2017. A purist, I used actual DJ release music records and refused to switch to Serato until they quit pressing DJ release records in 2010, which is when I switched over to Serato. I used the standard black control vinyl for most of my gigs, however sometimes I would change it up and use the red, blue, or clear vinyl. I always wanted an official pair of white vinyl, but they were impossible to find. I purchased this pair of sealed new white vinyl on eBay in 2012 for $350 and used them in only three performances. The vinyl is very clean with no scratches, however on the control vinyl side you can see light smudges on the center sticker from where I would manipulate the nipple.
This is a rare chance to buy a pair of Official Serato White Control Vinyl for a very reasonable price!
