Description
This is clearly a record that was hardly ever played. Although it's a sturdy pressing the quality is not that impressive. There are visible minor pressing flaws. The record is also much noisier that it looks. The majority of the noise does not come from the quality of the pressing but from many small marks that are mostly very difficult to see. These marks are most likely from decades of being shifted around during moves or reorganizing when bits of dust and dirt were between the sleeve and record. I would play grade the record 'G'. If you are serious and ready to make a reasonable offer we should be able to find a way to get you an audio clip. I have not been selling online at all for over 5 years and I'm just not set up to host audio clips any more.
Deadwax etched: ORG 1 A and ORG 2 B, both sides also have STERLING stamped into the deadwax, very small with the initials LH engraved to the upper right of the STERLING stamp.
Original pressing with deep groove labels like early Blue Note records. As a matter of fact this record has the feel of a rock solid late 50's early 60's pressing and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that this was pressed on the machines of that era. Although there are apparently two 'versions' of the original plain outer cover this was inside a plain white sleeve with no markings at all. I found this in a box of odd records which I bought from the estate of a long time Los Angeles area record store owner when he passed away nearly 10 years ago. He had many cool private press records and he was often involved in the actual recording of the records he kept. When he was young he would produce, mix, engineer, master etc.
