Description
A rare apportunity to buy the Ocean Colour Scene album "B Sides, Seasides & Freerides" original vinyl pressing MCA 60034 1997. The records are in very good condition having only been played twice and I'm going to be very pernickety about their condition. There is a minor scratch (more of a scuff) across part of tracks 2 and 3 on side D, which is difficult to see (and photograph) and can't be heard. There is very little surface noise. Sides A is flat and side B very slightly warped and barely noticeable, sides C and D are very slightly warped but again is barely noticeable, I had to drop to eye level to see it. I'm pretty choosy and if it was a problem I would have taken them back. By today's standards they are pretty normal!
There is a pressing fault on record 2 where there is excess vinyl on the rim (see photo) and to be honest I'd not noticed before! This does not affect playback, as the rim at this point is even further from the lead in groove than the rest of the record. It just looks odd. Overall this is a very good production with impressive sound quality (better than Oasis)! Please note that these are 45rpm records.
The outer sleeve is in very good condition with very little signs of wear. There is some "foxing" spots on the inside back cover and a couple of tiny spots on the inside front cover and some discolouration around the inside edges (see photos). There is also some foxing spots on the inside of the outer sleeves (where the records go) obviously difficult to photograph as they are hidden.
