(1995) and their third album, Be Here Now (1997). True to Noel's words, Liam Gallagher's vocals were at their best, with a setlist full of hits and defining tracks. It remains the band’s greatest live performance.
The two-day outdoor concert at Knebworth Park, August 10–11, 1996, drew over 250,000 fans, making it the band’s largest ever. More than 2.5 million people—around 2% of the UK’s population at the time—applied for tickets, all of which sold out in 24 hours, breaking UK box office records. The event cemented Oasis’ place at the top of Britpop history.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Knebworth and the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ formation (when Noel joined), this historic performance—unseen since the original concert—was officially released for the first time in 25 years.
