1986 was a good year for Ozzy Osbourne, as he continued to became a worldwide sensation. He and his band did really well with 1983's hit album 'Bark At the Moon', and the video for that title track (featuring Ozzy as a werewolf) played in heavy rotation on MTV and on rock radio. 1986's smash hit album 'The Ultimate Sin' took over the airwaves with "Shot in the Dark", and the title track, as well as some cool videos! And Ozzy had quite a bit to say in those days...

In '86, (and made in the UK), a very cool looking 12" interview picture disc was released. From the Tell Tales company. Now many of these types of interview records were released, by all kinds of artists. Generally, they did not contain music, so record companies were cool with them (and most still are). If there's no music to infringe upon, then there's not much anyone can do. And they are actually pretty interesting! This one looks like it was originally released in 1986, probably around the time that Ozzy and his band were promoting 'The Ultimate Sin' album.

The A side is a shirtless Ozzy, chewing on what appears to be a bat. Probably a fake bat. You know, since the whole "bat incident", where someone threw a real bat onstage, and Ozzy, thinking it was fake, bit the head off. And it gave him rabies! (Revenge of the bat for biting it's head off, I suppose.) So this pic plays on that. And they added an Ozzy signature. This is NOT an actual signature, nor am I trying to sell it as such. There's even a warning about offending and shocking! (Typical Ozzy...)

The B side is a pic of Ozzy performing in concert. Wearing a strange looking jacket! This is part one of a two or three per series. (I'll have to check. I may have part two!) The vinyl itself looks pretty good, but with several very light surface marks on both sides. Nothing too bad, and only noticeable when looking at it up really close. No heavy scratches, gouges or scuffs. Comes in a clear and generic PVC jacket.

I can't vouch for the sound quality as I never play specialty vinyl, such as pic discs or colored records. But it's just a really awesome Ozzy collectible to own. Available today, and at a nice price!
