EARLIEST OFF THE PRESS LOOK! ''1'' G'' AND ''1'' ''G'' MOTHERS UNBELEIVABLY RARE!!!

Another from my personal collection. A mega rare and scarce original 1st 1969 UK pressing (very rarely seen)! If there are any that are unfamilier with this awesome sounding album , I suggest that they look them up on youtube. Absolutely awesome guitar work throughout this album, will blow your head, especially the track ''Stormy Monday' The stereo seperation on this album is astounding!! ! This obscure blues prog psych band band only ever released two albums between 1968 and 1969! This album featured is their second album! This is one of the earliest to have been pressed from the original master look ''1'' G'' Mother Stampers both sides!! The vinyl has barely ever been played quite unbeleivable for a 40 year old blues album. The audio plays through perfect on my systems absolutely stunning! The original Garod & Lofthouse cover is complete without tares or splits and graded as excellent with just light general storageware with age only! Please do not underestemate the rarety of this original. This was later reissued by Akarma, originals very rarely surface especially in this condition!

The Outlaw Blues Band decided to call themselves outlaws because of their self-proclaimed unconventional music. This is how they referred to rock music of the day-"It’s a 4/4 tempo that’s still rocking in its chair, not as a lady, but as a wench that shook up the historical path of music!!.

Their first album titled 'The Outlaw Blues Band' Their sound is very progressive for the time that they recorded this album (1968)!.

This group was far ahead of its time. They were to make one more album,  (This album featured) "Breaking In", in 1969. And that was the end of this out of the ordinary group. It’s to bad it couldn’t have lasted longer. I would have been very interesting to see how things developed over the course of a few more albums.

As their name suggests, this was a blues-rock outfit but they were a pretty good one at that. From California, they were one of the several new acts signed by Bob Thiele, the producer of several interesting jazz artists (Coltrane, ) and rock groups (, etc)!!!.

Their first album features lots of fluid guitar and you should enjoy this if blues-rock is your thing. Even if it isn't you might still like it. Certainly I've Got To Have Peace On My Mind is very imaginative with interesting sound effects and it extends far beyond the usual blues-rock format. The band also have strong jazz influences, particularly in the drumming and the sax (or flute) interludes. Other highlights include an interesting reinterpretation of 's Tobacco Road, the instrumental Death Dog Of Doom, Tried To Be A Good Boy (But I'm Worse Than A Nazi), Two 'Tranes Running (not a mispelling but an an homage to Coltrane!) and the catchy Lost In The Blues!!.
After Gonzales, their bass player, was replaced by Dickens (who would later play with Willie Hutch, a soul/funk singer), they recorded this album featured their second album in the same style, still mixing blues covers (Stormy Monday Blues) with original material

They can easily be compared to the best blues, psych bands in my opinion, very underated, and scarce album to find especialy in this condition!
Bass player, Joe Francis Gonzales died recently of liver cancer.

The Matrix

Side 1 ''SVRX 3603-1G'' (Earliest Matrix only 1st Press)

Side2 ''SVRX 3604-1G'' (Earliest Matrix only 1st Press)

The Mother Stampers

Side 1 ''1'' ''G'' (Very Very 1st Off The Press)

Side 2 ''1'' ''G'' (Very Very 1st Off The Press)

The Vinyl

The very important thing to note!  This is the original heavier thicker type of vinyl with deeper grooves only found on these original 1st pressings!!! They are also more robust than later pressings which were more flimsier!!!!

On initial inspection thisd vinyl looks like new! It is also quite obvious that this has barely ever been played (Please see photos I can't see any spider marks at all on side 1 around the spindle hole and just two feint spindle marks on side 2. Unbeleivably rare for a 40 year old vinyl!!) Please note I can't see any needle scratches or indeed any audio sounding marks at all! Certainly (no) marks that are audio sounding! Anu marks that could possibly be seen angled to a strong light would be sleeve removal\scuffs only, to be honest it is hard to even see a blemish on this playing surface!

The Audio Quality

I have played this through track for track as usual at very loud volume on a top system. The audio is rated as good as it gets in my opinion!

ON ALL FREQUENCIES! (IN MY OPINION THE BEST THAT YOU WILL FIND OF THIS PRESSING) This is cristal clear and vibrant through out. This plays with no background noise or crackle at all with (no) signs of any distortion or that this has been overplayed!!!! I would class myself as highly critacle! Please look at my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right!!!! Audio is graded at the top!!! You will find the audio quality on this vinyl hard to surpass!!!!! THIS HAS BEEN HARDLY EVER PLAYED IN 40 YEARS!!!!!! TOP TOP AUDIO! TRY TO FIND BETTER!!! THIS LOOKS AND SOUNDS  VIRTUALY  UNPLAYED!! UNBELEIVABLE FOR 38 YEARS OLD!!!

Please note! I always add this disclamer! That I have honestly described this vinyl to the best of my ability and have taken the time to play this through track for track for any problems.  Please allow for the odd static not consistant through out the audio. This is a genuine original pressing (not a reissue) that is 40 years old and would have been played on a 40 year old system.!!!

Points to note! This album has been stored in a case with the vinyl seperated from the cover for protection for at least 25 years! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves from laying dormant causes static ticks\crackle. A constant clean before each play is highly recomended! This will reduce any static and enhance the audio quality!!

The Labels

These are the original Stateside labels very near perfect! 1st issue with the 'Large swirl logo' (only 1st press) Amaizingly (no) spider  marks can be seen on side one and just two can feintly be seen on side 2 Unbeleivable to fiind like this!! (little if (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round!

The Cover

This is the original 1st press laminated front Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover! There is no splits or tares, just light general creasings and light storageware to the corners the rear is very clean with just very light stain spot. All writing\text is legable! This must be at least excellent!
