From his 1968 LP The Dock Of The Bay, this item is Otis Redding's eighth BILLBOARD TOP 40 hit, which reached the #1 position (remaining there for 4 weeks!) in February of 1968 -- "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay / Sweet Lorene", Volt 157. The record itself is in a beautiful NEAR MINT (Vinyl looks UNPLAYED!) condition with its original shiny/glossy, mirror-like playing surface. The vinyl actually retains that appearance of a BRAND NEW record! The labels are in very nice NEAR MINT condition with the absolute only defect being where someone has faintly written their name at the top of the B-side hole with a very fine pen. The name is so faintly written that it is easily over-looked. The record is housed in its original stock ATLANTIC~ATCO GROUP paper sleeve shown in the picture. See my "About Me" page for my grading scale. ALL my 45 RPM's and Picture Sleeves are housed in their own individual 7" protective plastic sleeves. In the case of a 45 RPM having a Picture Sleeve the 45 RPM is housed in a 7" white paper sleeve. My 45 RPM's have been kept separate from their Picture Sleeves since I purchased them. Also, in most cases where there is not a Picture Sleeve, my 45 RPM's are housed in their original company paper sleeve.
